Event Details

WITHOUT using Photoshop, how do you  erase all the moving cars and people from your street scene? How do you get the yellows and greens out of your indoor pictures?  How do you make the blue sky bluer and the white clouds whiter?  It can all be done inside your camera when you take the picture IF you know what you are doing with filters! But which filters do digital or film cameras really NEED?

This indoor/outdoor photo Safari, taught by architectural photographer E. David Luria, will teach film and digital SLR owners how, why, where and when to use neutral density, graduated and color correcting filters, such as the circular polarizer, the warming filter, tungsten and fluorescent filters for color photography, and yellow and red cloud-enhancing  filters for black and white photography. We will also go inside the Renwick Gallery for interior photography without flash and review the built-in filtration systems of digital cameras known as "white balance" settings.
